Tried steel wool in 2 stroke glow exhausts quite a few years ago. It reduced the noise level a fair bit, but had a tendency to restrict the exhaust flow a lot. I figure this was because the oil...

Wrinkling and bubbling is a problem with a lot of ARTFs, and mainly depends on what covering the manufacturer uses.
I don't think a heat gun would get rid of the wrinkles...

Just hope you never go deadstick while low ang flying downwind. Happened to me as I levelled out after a stall turn. The advice about landing downwind is good, only trouble was the tree in the way!!....

The blue version is, ( I think), no longer made. I got it as a cheap clearance from the UK importers of World Models, who also just happen to be my LHS. ;)

Had one of these (blue version) for a while with an OS 52 Surpass up front swinging a 12.5" x 6" Bolle clubman prop. It went up like a scalded cat. :D
