RE: RADAR Speed Guns

Look up angular cosine effect. This is what you’re up against if you cannot get a 0 degree line of sight when shooting the speed. I’m sure there are a few formulas out there if you have a known...

RE: What's the advantage of carbon fiber props?

Most carbon fiber parts share the same traits: very light, strong, and stiff for their comparables. Detriment would be the hardness that makes it very strong also makes it quite brittle when...

dsk,

I hope you disregard the last request and let the incident die. I can’t see how asking in any way “joking way” the question would seem anything other than sarcastic or a pointed...

RE: Are PCM Receivers really a must with Gas Engines?

As rc bugman replied, no they are not a “must”. I however will not personally fly a large gas airplane without one. It’s not that big of a deal to put an extra $50.00 to $100.00 into a...

SigMan,

Glad to hear all the questions were honest questions and not just a pot stirring episode. Since some of your questions were not answered, there’s nothing wrong with your Saito /...

RE: Gasser newbie ?

Karolh,

I agree that many out of spec engines will work, however there are limitations to every rule. SigMan is talking about placing a 4.5 pound engine in a plane that is suppose to have an...

RE: JR receiver crystals

I would guess to get the best match on TX and RX, use the same shift for both. All my TX and RX crystals are dead center. If you had a TX crystal will left, then I would imagine you would want the...

RE: Any real reason for not using FM RX on GS models?

I would have to say the best reason for using PCM is the fail-safe most (maybe all) PCM systems have to offer. I would also give a thumbs up to the PPM systems that have a fail-safe. With this...

RE: P200 on a KingCat
