Ok to cut square flex??

I need to shorten a 1/4 inch flex cable I got from bonzisports to fit in my gas cat. It's about 3/4 inch too long and has a squared end on one side, and soldered into a ferrule on the other. Can I...

RE: 2 blackjack 55's hit 50+mph

If there is issues with the seals, then I'll just stay away from them. Just seemed like a super easy mod for a little free rpm.

RE: rc boat trailer

This one isn't made of popsicle sticks and legos. But a a few hours of cutting and welding, plus 100-bucks for the powder coating. It sure looks nice on the shelf!

RE: New hobbyking vanquish boat kit

I ran the old osprey hull with the leopard 5692 and it screamed. I agree to stay away from any 36mm motor. Your just asking for trouble. Definetly trash the stinger and replace it with a speedmaster...

RE: Small Dunk and ESC and Lipo fried?

Its also possible the solder connections were jarred loose inside the pack. I've had turnigy lipos main leads pull right out of the pack due to poor solder joints.

RE: Small Dunk and ESC and Lipo fried?

So did the esc smoke? or did it work? 10s is a lot of volts and surely will make a huge spark upon connection. I've burnt holes on bullets from 6s setups. I'd blow that esc out really good with...

RE: 2 blackjack 55's hit 50+mph

Thanks for the info. I'll be happy with 40mph for now. I can see how the clutch would cause issues with the increase of rpm. I was also thinking of swapping the stock carb out for the 813(I think it...

RE: 2 blackjack 55's hit 50+mph

Looking good! I just picked up a BJ55 off of flea bay and have been reading through lots of info on these for about a week now. I have many fast electric boats, but have only had a shockwavee 55 for...

RE: Brushless Cat Build

44-inches is a big hull for 65-70mph and will require something like twin 5692 leopard motors and a lot of battery high amp esc's. This would definetly be a high-dollar build. 65-70 is not a sport...

RE: Venom P1 Brushless Problems

Here is mine all stock on a single turnigy 3300mah 4s 30c pack, octura x442. Speeds are in the low 40's. 5s is really pushing the limits on a 2000kv motor. Thats 37,000 rpm. Most F.E. racing boats...

RE: Venomâ„¢ King of Shaves C1 34

It took me months to realize they were there. The cooling lines get outta hand though. It just becomes a mess and I dont think they really do much.

RE: Venomâ„¢ King of Shaves C1 34

Yah, I got rid of the stock spaghetti hoses coming out of the back of the hull. Never did like the way they looked. Plus with the dual inlet pick-ups I can run seperate cooling to the esc's and...

RE: Venomâ„¢ King of Shaves C1 34

I'm pretty sure the 5000mah are too big. I've read a post somewhere on that one. I use 3600mah 4s packs. They are about the same size as my 5400 3s packs.

RE: Venomâ„¢ King of Shaves C1 34

RE: Venomâ„¢ King of Shaves C1 34

Nope, If the numbers were reversed, then yes. Your motor pulls power from your speed control, and your speed control pulls power from your batteries. If your batteries are too small, they will heat...

RE: Venomâ„¢ King of Shaves C1 34

I would use a 5-cell nimh receiver pack. 6.0 volts and thet are inexpensive.
