RE: adding spoilers to my butterfly

The Butterfly wing is the same as the Windrifter glider wing. Built the Windrifter with spoilers according to the plans/instructions and they are 3/4" trailing edge stock, each 10" in length, and...

RE: Piece O'Cake decal wanted

Very nice! Good looking decals, also. My friend had a Drifter II glider (same wing and tail feathers) and it was a super floater with its 72" wingspan. Always liked the transparent Monocoat...

RE: Dynaflite Drifter II question.

Interesting! I was out of the hobby when Dynaflite was formed, combining Mark's Models, Craft-Air and Hi-Flight kits, and when Dynaflite was sold To Great Plains, I also assumed that the Drifter II...

RE: Pro Line (Electronics Inc.) - it's history?

About the time Ace R/C acquired Pro Line, they changed the color of the Ace transmitter cases from red to white. My two Silver Seven TX's were in red vinyl, same as the older Ace Digital Commander...

RE: Pro Line (Electronics Inc.) - it's history?

As an Ace Service Center, you must have received a lot of those unfair assessments of Ace R/C kits! Looking at Heathkit and Ace ads for R/C kits back then, I chose the Ace Silver Seven set which...

RE: Craft air gliders, were are they?

For downloadable Butterfly instructions, check out the Dynaflite website, under 'manuals.' Dynaflite took over the production of the Craft Air Butterfly, among others, some years ago.

RE: help wanted with a vintage cannon radio

That is the same size as my Cannon RX that I still have, on 27.095, which was part of the first R/C radio kit that I built (only built two more, both Ace). John, can you take a picture of your TX to...

RE: help wanted with a vintage cannon radio

John, what frequency is your Cannon TX on? Would think it is on 27 mHz as the old 72 mHz freqs had not been authorized here when the Cannons were first introduced. Recall seeing the TX and the RX...

RE: help wanted with a vintage cannon radio

The 'decal' was a foil-backed sticker. Built a 5 channel with the greenish color TX/RX cases when they were available as kits back then. The sticker on HighPlains' 3 channel brown TX is the same as...

I remember being able to purchase Noble switches from Ace R/C and when they stopped selling them. Anyone recall why they were discontinued?
