well my centered rudder with a high torque digital servo was very touchy at high speed. i believe it's what caused me to spin out and the result was a hull that split in 2. peeled the top right off....

rudders depth and placement

how to adjust steering sensitivity.

is an offset rudder closer to the hull (in front of prop) less sensitive than a centered rudder (behind prop) ?
or is is the depth of the rudder a better...

but tabs period are cheating....it's my understanding that a properly "tuned" hull does not need tabs at all. i have yet to "prove" the point yet, but it's in the works...

1. is the J&G 25.6 a modified G23 ?
2. is it recommended to run a clutch with tuned pipe as long as i run high...

rudder & prop placement

just recieved a project boat from ebay. the previous owner replaced the flex drive and tube. the new drive sticks out from the transom more than the original and the rudder won't fit in original spot...

i do not know the brand of hull, but, as far as the prop centerline, it's 5/8" BELOW the lowest point of sponsons. i believe i put it there when i first got the boat because it was cavitating. but...
