I fly a PT 40 with a OS 40 LA and it does just ffine. You may have to be a bit conservative on take but it really is enough engine.

Talking about the Kadet Senior, I am rebuilding one right now and have an La 46 and a magnum 52 that I could put on it. Which do you think would be a better fit?

 Have a look at the tab on the front of the wing we had two in a row that where cracked when they arrived and we had to fix them before anything else.

Just keep it up and in a short time you will be starting to fly faster planes, Remember a lot of flying fields are grass so it is not a bad idea to practise on it. It took me a few days of practise...
