My CP3 is a later model with a 4in1 receiver, so it may be different, but in the manual it does refer to the switch positions under the battery, as relating to different models, so it might be worth...

As I understand it (and I'm fairly new here too) increasing left stick (mode 2) increases motor speed, or (in idle up) increases rotor pitch, both giving extra lift, so the swashplate should rise...

I recently bought an MJX T41C - don't know if it's the same stable as yours, but my controller only bleeps when altering the trim (to prevent yaw when nothing is done to the control sticks)....
