RE: T-rex Metal Head--Align, or Sonic V2

You have to Locktite all the screws on the Sonix like it says in the instructions or it will come apart. Now that Align has fixed their seperation problem, I would rate them equal. I have a Sonix...

RE: Quark 33A or better?

I would like some input on ESC's as well. You almost have to go with the controler that has the least number of responces in the forums. It may be the one with the least problems.

RE: T-rex Metal Head--Align, or Sonic V2

Sonix is sold by Helli Direct. Didn't like my v2 at first, but after increasing my atf it works fine. The spherical bearing in the swash is all metal and I think it has less play than the Align.

RE: AP Engines Yellow Jacket .15 ABC FSR R/C

Get an OS .15la and put a .15 fp backplate on it. Even though the la is a bushing engine, it puts out about 2000 more R.P.M. than an A.P. on an 8X3 MAS prop. The Magnum .15 is also a good choice.

RE: SSC and Open B

Getting back to bladder tanks, if you tie a rubber band around each end of the bladder you can hang it on the wing dowels under the wing. Worked great on my sscAvenger and should work on a fence post.

RE: Vector Flight Xtra 300 66" build

Ordered my Extra Aug. 19. Got it today. Almost done with the wings. Looks like it's not going to be too complicated except for the plastic parts. And yes the instructions do suck.
