It seems like an odd fit for tower to carry both Seagull and Phoenix as they are both very similar lines. 10yrs ago I would have given the nod to Seagull over Phoenix but Phoenix has really picked up...

I always thought is was a good balance with Tower and Phoenix and Horizon and Seagull for the value lines of ARF. I hope the prices do not increase as a result of Tower carrying both of the top value...

Horizon dropping Seagull Models ?

I was just on the Horizon website to have a look at the 120 Spacewalker and noticed that they have dropped all but two of the Seagull ARF's . Is the ARF marker really that bad right now?

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Graftech still makes a set specifically for the Patty, if you happen to damage the stock gear.

RE: Help me choose engine for TF P-47 ARF

If you already own the .91 and 1.20 four strokes I would use the one that balances best. I own a Magnum .91 and it is a good engine but if the plane can be made to balance with the 1.20 without...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

I don't plan on doing a lot of 3D stuff either, but if I should be inclined to do so it will be nice to know the plane is up for it. For my new Patty it will depend on how strong the little OS turns...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

IMO the Great Planes Patty is still one of the best looking arfs ever made. For me it is important for a plane to be fully sheeted when they are this size and larger. To the best of my knowledge...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

I just picked up a new in the box Patty last week.:D I already have one with a DL 50 in it that I built a few years ago. I built the 50cc Patty as light as I could at the time and ended up at...

RE: OS GT33 33cc gasser

I posted this on it's own thread but I thought I would post this here as well. When comparing my OS 33 to my DL 20 and 50 I noticed that the magnet passes under the hall sensor at about 5 degrees...

RE: 2.4 conversion & unstable voltage indicator

I still do not think it is battery related as both of my radios display the same symtoms and there does not seem to be anything wrong with either battery in the radios. My voltage only fluters a...

RE: OS 33GT Hall Position Sensor

I was hopping you would reply Pe. So it looks like if you want to use a standard RCEXL ignition on the OS 33 you will need to reposition the hall sensor. I seem to remember reading on one of the...

RE: 2.4 conversion & unstable voltage indicator

It does not seem to be the transmitter pack. If I put the 72mhz module in the radio the voltage indicator reacts normally.

2.4 conversion & unstable voltage indicator

I have a JR 10x and an older 347 that I have 2.4 modules for. I have three differant brands of them... Spectrum, Extreme Link, and FrSky and all three modules have the same problem. The voltage...

RE: OS 33GT Hall Position Sensor

I took another look at the DL engines and the magnet does indeed pass under the sensor before TDC, about 25 degrees before TDC. The OS magnet might be 5 degrees before TDC at the most. At any rate I...

RE: OS 33GT Hall Position Sensor

I don't really need a degree wheel to see that the magnet is directly under the sensor a TDC on the OS. I would need a degree wheel to say exactly how many degrees of advance are on the dl's though....

OS 33GT Hall Position Sensor

I was looking at my new OS 33 today and comparing it to my DL 20 and 50 engines. I noticed that the magnet passes under the sensor at TDC on the OS but on the DL engines the magnet passes under the...

RE: OS GT33 33cc gasser

Great prop info Bob. Looks like the xroar 20x8 is a little too much for it. I like the looks of the xroar sword props so I might try a 19x8 or a 20x8 carbon falcon. In Canada the same guy sells xroar...

RE: best oil to use

Use any 2 stroke dino oil on the market at 30 to 1 and you will be okay. Over many years of using 2 stroke engines I have noticed one thing in common with people who use synthetic oil. Most of them...

RE: OS GT33 33cc gasser

Thanks for the reply Matt. I did notice that you were getting some good prop no's with your pipe. I was hoping to get some first hand prop no's with the stock muffler as that is what I will be using....

RE: OS GT33 33cc gasser

I just bought a 33 today. I am planning to use it in a 78" extra 300 that will likely weigh in at about 13.5 lbs. Does anybody have any prop no's for a 20"x8" prop?

RE: Great Planes 1/4 scale Gene Soucy Extra 300S Review Now posted

I bet that fly's real nice with the dl30. It's too bad Great Planes discontinued that plane just before the light weight 30cc gas engines hit the market. It probably would have sold better now than...

If anyone has some nice pics of their 1/4 scale Pattys please post a couple so people who don't know about this plane can see what it looks like.

Extra 300s that I would like Great Planes to make

One of my favorite looking arfs of all time was the 1/4 scale Patty Wagstaff Extra 300s. Now that it has been discontinued I would like a new one aimed at the 20cc to 35cc engines that are on the...

RE: Good 2nd Low Wing?

I also started with an Avistar with a LA40 for power. Great trainer. For my second plane I went with a Phoenix Sea Bee and I would highly recomend it as a second plane. It handles wind well and flys...
