I have one of each (early and later version). The early version had the wings attached with rubber bands. The later version has wire cabanes and bolt on wings. I haven't built the later version yet....

According to Master Airscrew, the general rule of thumb is to reduce the diameter by 1 inch and increase the pitch by 1 inch.

Their chart suggests a 9x7 for a three blade prop on a .40 size...

Type of floats

The choice of what type of float to use is totally up to you. I use all the above types (glass, wood, foam) plus I also have a set of ABS plastic floats. Admitted I've not used the plastic floats yet...
