Just an update;

I contacted associate & they informed me I could use the shocks from the TC4 &/or TC6. I would just need to change mounting holes, but other than that they would work.

In...

RE: TC4 accessories ?

Not really.

Your main thing to think about is what pinion gear you want to run on the motor. Now, that is a bit of a loaded response. It depends on what motor & what you are looking for. For...

Apex Shocks?

I decided the Associated Apex was just too good of a deal to pass up. I have had it for a few run days now & I am definitely pleased with its performance. I have swapped the wheels/tires and use the...

RE: TC4 accessories ?

Just to clarify: You can put the Spektrum rx in the Traxxas, but you will need a Spektrum tx. The tx & rx have to match (the vehicle doesn't matter).

Or you can just get another Traxxas rx &...

RE: TC4 accessories ?

The TX's/RX's are individually specific. So for example, you would need a Spektrum rx & tx .... or a Traxxas rx & tx etc. Unfortunately, there is no cross binding that I know of.

RE: TC4 accessories ?

Well, welcome to racing my friend!... To me, on-road is about the track... even if you are making your own in a parking lot. I would recommend a brushless setup for sure, but just remember throttle...

May I recommend the Associated Apex? I run at a mainly Tamiya track... with a few of us running Associated & a few with HPI's. The Tamiya's I think are good cars & durable, but right out of the box...

RE: HPI Mini Recon

I think it performs pretty good. Its a quick little guy. Def. have to watch the little rocks etc that can get caught up in things, but even hendles well on grass. For the $ you can't go wrong! IMO

RE: HPI Mini Recon

Overall,...depends on your plans for it. BUT... it is definitely in the top for that price range IMO. 2.4ghz alone really helps to put it there!
