Those housings are to keep leaves and mud away from the fan. It could be left off. If you do end up with a wp--100/120 go to a redcat 42mm 2500kv [191007r] motor. you will like it.

Switch finally arrived. Two wires plugged into ch3, did not go into bind mode. Two wires from the lights into the switch out. Powered up and the ch3 button now turns the lights on and off. Whoopee !!

Actually it unbinded when I plugged the lights into channel 3. I haven't got the switch yet, just the picture. I guess I will find out when I try the switch.

I want to use channel 3 to run lights, When I plug the lights into channel 3, I lose the bind link. How do I reassign channel 3? The manual is in Chinese mostly.
