Make sure your fuel tank's vent line is unobstructed, i.e., no kinks.

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

If everyone that came to RC Universe for information used the search engine to look up needed information, RC Universe would close its doors due to lack of hits and sponsors/funding/etc.

It...

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

I have owned a few G26 engines and they have all been excellent performers. I'm down to my last one these days. It is the light version that was offered by Ralph Cunningham of R/C Ignitions. It is a...

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

Muffled tuned pipes can really silence an engine such as the DLE-20 or 30 with ease. It's just putting up with the ugliness of the exhaust system that is the problem. When building a model, one can...

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

I love the DLE 20, but no, no way is it going to compare in power production to a Saito FA-150 glow four-stroke. The Super Sportster is meant for a 30 to 35cc gas two-stroke. That is a long ways away...

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

After reading his (Lifer's) report about how fast J'Tec jumped on his request and got the muffler in his hands, I was very impressed and was thinking of doing business with them again myself. Still...

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

I have ran APC 14x10 props on 1.20 four-strokes before with great success. I'm sure the DLE20 would be happy with that prop too.

So buy a Great Planes Big Stik 60 and you will have essentially the same thing. I've owned both. Not much difference when you get down to what is important.

I never got around to building a Sig 1/4 scale Cub, but I used to have a friend that had one. He flew his with a Zenoah G38 up front. Talk about needing power management. It would accelerate while...

I agree with all of your points.

Today, our model airplane engine technology is becoming similar to what has happened in automotive drag racing some years ago. Drag racers have produced so much...

Or, they could keep the small diameter prop, but increase its pitch instead of going even larger with the diameter or adding additional blades. People use large diameter/low pitch props for 3D...

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

Nope, but it would be a mistake to buy the 20cc engine instead of the 30cc engine in this instance. Just think, no expensive high nitro fuel to buy for the YS 1.20. Who cares if the engines need to...

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

You expect an equal displacement (1.20) gas engine to produce the same power as a YS 1.20? Nope, it doesn't work that way. Gasoline/petrol as a fuel produces less energy than alcohol/nitro fuel. That...

Thanks for the tip. That Revolver sure is pretty and the engine runs like a watch. It even sounds like a sporty glow engine.

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

I wasn't worried about current consumption. I'm worried about RFI from the ignition system getting back into the receiver via the shared circuitry. Folks tend to over estimate 2.4 GHz rigs ability to...

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

Then those owning large glow engines will end up buying the new Enya glow plug made for gasoline and will run their engines that way - on gas/oil mix. I hate glow fuel. It is messy, leaving oil all...
