RE: Flight Duration Question

The ESC I'm looking to use is a plush 40 amp. It has a BEC rated at 5v/3a. The plane will weight approx. 4.5-5 lbs. I fly sports-like, not 3-D.

Thanks - JPR72C

RE: Glow Driver Problem

The type of glow driver is an Expert brand. I spent some more time "experimenting" and discovered that it is the wire size of the battery connections that was limiting the current. After I used 14...

Glow Driver Problem

I've converted a Poulan 42cc to gas/glow and it performs well - 7300 RPM with an APC 20-8. I decided to invest in a glow driver set up, but it is not working out. Seems like it does not deliver...

RE: Poulan 42

Well I tried an APC 20X8 and only got 6000 RPM. I think this is low from what others are getting on the forum. I''m using a 13.5 mm carb and I drilled out the stock muffler. The engine starts ok...

RE: gas fuel with glo plug no ignition

Just wanted to share another "formula" that is working out really good. I can not find 10/10 glow fuel, and I can only get methanol in 5 gallon pails. So what I did was mix 1/2 gal of gas with 1/2...

RE: I converted a glow engine to run on E85

What are your thoughts on this mixture. 3 parts E-85 and 1 part 20/12 glow fuel. This gives the following:

Nitro - 5%
Oil - 3% (33:1)
Methanol - 17%
Ethanol - 63.75%
Gas - 11.25%

Here is another formula that I use that gives a good mix. I use it since the 12/20 is a very common nitro car fuel:

1 part 12/20 nitro
1 part methanol
3 parts gas

this yields a 2.4%...

RE: Hit a "JackPot"

Scott - what do you mean by using the original carb as "troublesome" to make work. Do you need a bell crank set-up? Thanks for the input. You have my business:D
