Hi guys,

I took mine apart for inspection after 2 galons. I saw there are still small areas of the cylinder (above the exhaust port) where the ring has not seated yet. I am using mineral oil....

I thought I need to run it lean for it to perform well but ends up my HS needle would not close completely untill I just forced it a little. I was running almots 2 turns on the HS.

Does the spring in the spark plug cap really have a purpose? If so, what is it and is it bad to run the engine without it?

Yes even with the choke fully closed, it would not suck. But when the carb got wet...The engine ran very well
