From what you guys are describing....I think I got it. Is there a big difference between the ball diff and regular diff?

I tighten till it got firm and backed off about a 1/4 of a turn. I hope its not too loose...or too tight! Ive never used a ball diff before. Could you lead me to some knowledge of ball diffs?

I was dissappointed though. I wanted to keep everything original. But, you gotta do what you gotta do eh? The truck turned out to be in worst shape than i thought.

Progress update:

Stock tranny case was a dissappointment. Every mounting hole was stripped. So, seeing as the Blue Eagle is simular to the Rustler...I reached for a stock Rustler Tranny...

The ball diff should be kinda hard to turn? Too loose is a bad thing right? I know nothing about ball diffs:eek:

This ball diff is stock in the Blue Eagle/Eagle vehicles. I dont know much about ball diffs...what type of play should the diff have? Should it move very freely or have some drag?

uninstalled the front and rear ends. Im really loving the shape of this chassis! Notice the condition on the bottom part of the chassis. Its not too bad...but i think I can get it looking much better...

Heres some more pics. Damage is not that bad. Whoever owned this truck before used all kind of random screws to hold everything together:eek: The front bumper also has a big crack in it.
