Mac 32

Bob,

When I did the first one I was disappointed with the results after reading, at the time on RCOnline some 4 years ago, about much higher rpm readings. I talked to Terry about all this and he...

RE: 33cc homelite

Why don't I sell you my TNC tach?

I suppose, now, I'll get flooded with inquirries from people looking for a TNC? It won't be cheap.

Enjoy,

Jim

RE: 33cc homelite

A WT9 only has a 7/16" venturi the same as a late model Zenoah 23 carb per the Walbro web site.

I must admit that mine still have the center seal and the crankcases are not stuffed. But all...

RE: 33cc homelite

That's one good Mac 32. You had better forget about a Homie 33.

I have two Mac 32's and they are 1,000 rpm less than that. They have C-H and were modified by TKG himself. I'm running 1/2" carbs...

RE: 33cc homelite

Did you ever try to balance a 22-8 prop on the Top Flite magnetic balancer? The prop and armature will fall to the floor. The magnets are not strong enough.

Get the Dubro balancer. I have a...

RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: 33cc homelite

The 3rd and 5th harmonics from the railroad frequency would be the ones to get you too but the original frequency is the strongest.

Enjoy,

RE: RE: RE: RE: 33cc homelite

A while back I forgot to mention that you need to wait until there's cloudy night with no moon to ever see a spark out of a Phelon. They do seem to run the engines OK after you get one going though....

RE: RE: RE: 33cc homelite

Are you running a "R" type resistor plug? Also anything to do with the radio must be as far away from that engine as you can get it. Use a golden rod to push your throttle. Don't have the throttle...

RE: RE: RE: 33cc homelite

The brown stuff has several different names depending where you get it. It seems to be more or less a Shellac based substance with a cotton gause type reinforcement? It's been around 50 years or...

RE: RE: 33cc homelite

Ron,

That looks about right for the residue. You still have the APC 18-10?

Enjoy

RE: RE: 33cc homelite

I think most of the newer Homelites have Phelons right now. First thing you know, they will change back. I had a Ryobi that I used as a weed whacker for 15 years and used the devil out of it every...

RE: RE: 33cc homelite

There's a difference in the ignition modules between Phelon and Walbro too.

With two relatively identical engines except for the brand of flywheel/ignition module, you'll find that the spark...

RE: 33cc homelite

There are two brands of flywheels commonly on the Homelites and Ryobi's. The Phelon is more commonly on the Ryobi and the Walbro on the Homelites. But it's not unusual to see either flywheel on...
