RE: Voltmeter cable mystery??

Are you using banana plugs?

In addition to small wire gauge, I've also found that banana plugs are often sources of V-drop under load. Many banana plugs use a crimp/swag construction that holds...

RE: Spektrum DX6 - Can the Gear & AUX1/Flap switches be converted to pots?

On the 662, Ch-5 and Ch-6 connect to Digital I/O pins on the MCU. These are not Analog I/O ports. So, it is unlikely you will be successful.

RE: PUTFILE.COM video's won't play ??

Remove MS Security Patch KB896688. It is removed by going to the Control Panel, selecting Add/Remove Programs (select "show updates" option if available), then selecting the Patch's entry.

Or,...

RE: Digital ISM radio link project

Sounds interesting. Couple of questions:
(1) What will the Rx sensitivity be at the 50Kbit data rate?
(2) What is the Tx's effective RF power? Is it spread spectrum?

RE: Camera Radio Interference

Some very low cost video Tx's will not tolerate ANY mechanical vibration (soft mounting and balanced prop are a must). Also, some Tx's have audio mics on them that can cause video artifacts if...

RE: Camera Radio Interference

If your camera is powered by the same battery that runs the flight pack then it is not EMI/RFI (not "radio" noise); It would be commutation ripple caused by the large currents drawn by the motor.

RE: GWS P-51 Gearbox Problems on Brushless setup

Why not install the mating GWS pinion on the Eflite 370? I've done that to a GWS 400 gearbox with both a eFlite 370 and 400 brushless motor. Worked great. Due to the size of the motor's shaft, I had...

RE: When do we get "spread-spectrum" technology?

Actually, the power output on the FCC Part 15 approved long range SS devices is as high as 1 watt. The magic is that the average power is zero on a spread spectrum RF signal. If done correctly, the...

RE: GWS Receiver Range

Besides making it easier to install on a small model, GWS's shortened antenna was employed to help reduce interference complaints. In a good environment (minimal EMI/RFI) this will give you at least...

RE: Question about R/C receiver output pulses

The short circuit current may be that many mA's, but the allowed logic level sink and source output currents are only 2mA. For more details, just review the data sheets to the decoder IC used in your...

RE: F27 STRYKER,WAY PAST THE LIMITS! Part 3

It could be a lot of things. However, if ground range is good with motor off, but you get glitches while flying, then I suspect motor related EMI/RFI interference. Worn brushes can invite more of...

RE: Parkzone Releases New F27 Stryker Model!

I never received your PM at rcgroups (it is not in my in-basket). To answer your question: I have found that the antennas on the cheap R/C models can be made 4X their normal length and the range will...

RE: Parkzone Releases New F27 Stryker Model!

Edit/Update: Found what I needed, so my search for the Stryker R/C parts is over.
I'm looking for the complete radio system (Tx, Rx, servos, motor, etc) for ParkZone Stryker F27B or ParkZone...

RE: Is the AMA gold sticker program a hoax??

Sorry, but you will have to send it to an approved sticker station (such as Radio South). Cost is not too bad, especially if your radio does not need any updates. But keep in mind that although it...

RE: 2 questions

You forgot to account for the cost-of-living. Adjusted for the year 2005, that works out to $2000 USD (1665 Euros) for a very basic R/C system with four servos. Many R/C'ers had to utilize a bank...

RE: Futaba Tx with JR Sport RS 600 Rx???

It is a single conversion PPM receiver. You must use the xtal that JR recommends. So, what did you install? If it is a JR xtal, what color is the plastic cap?
