1/2 scale .... I had thought of that but in Australia over 7kg requires some planning and paper work and over 25kg is a nightmare!

I am keen to do the same as I have several ryobi powered planes and was thinking of a full metal airframed ultralight.
I downloaded the plans for the afordaplane some time...

After flying my larger then standard four sate 120 with a 28cc ryobi i wanted more power, the 28 was good but a 31 with a few of Tims tricks added to it should make it really go!!!

I too have discovered the joy of these engine (thanks Tim) .
My is a ryobi 28cc in a four star scrach built at 85 inch span. Best fling plane I have haad in ages. It weighs just under 7kg.
