Hey crew, new to gliders - need some help.

Hey, guys. Several questions. I'm new to gliders, well, I will be when I actually purchase one. Anyway, I'm looking to buy a glider/sailplane. I really don't want to spend a fourtane on an ARF (I...

RE: MDS .18 FS Pro for trade.

No, it isn't brand new. It has been flown maybe ten times. The piston and liner show no signs of wear - still shiny. The case is a little dirty due to it sitting in a plastic bag with after run...

RE: 1/2A ducted fan???

I have an original mail-out production guide/price list with pictures and prices of the little DF units from Kress. The little booklet is all black-and-white and has units for .049s to .18s in it. ...

RE: torquey prop for .46????

Those are for electric, not nitro. A nitro engine will throw the blades off and potentially hurt you or bystanders. Not a good idea.

If you want good thrust and speed, try an APC 11x3 04 11x4;...

Hey all. I was wondering if anyboby had, or knew/knows, what little electric ducted fan kits, non brushless (for rpm reasons), (cheap-o) easily found at Tower that would work for an .049 Sure Start?...

RE: SureWasp049, Cox & AP hybrid

My Sure Start has 1.5 inch spinner and I am using 7x3 and 7x4 props. Also, the fuel tank is a little brass 1/2oz - no pressure line at all. It will idle reliably (no stalls) around 2800 rpm. I...

RE: Servo size

I hear folks speak highly of the HS55s, but, I have had very bad luck with them - I hate them actually. I do like the 45s, futaba 3114s, and HS85s - I really like the 85s as they have never once...

Does anyone out there have an AP .061 carb that they would be willing to trade off for anything? If so, just let me know and we will take it from there. Thanks!

RE: Props vs Thrust?

Very similar to the V22 indeed, but with one prop and the engine will not rotate to dictate flight characteristics.

You're right. Actual trials do prove differently than the math concludes. ...

Props vs Thrust?

I know that this sort of question has been asked numerous times on here before, but here I go anyway.

What prop will give me the most amount of thrust for a .46 engine?

I am building a...
