I think the 55R will be a great choice because of the narrow fuse. It should fit in the cowl area a lot easier.

Sorry to hear that. The Hybrid is definitely one sweet plane. However, if you want something that will give it a run for its money, and even beat it, you might want to take a look at one of these....

Very nice! How did you like it? I'm having a ball with mine. Only problem with it is that anything over 1 click of throttle and it doesn't want to quit flying! Here's a pic from last Tuesday:

I made a new pattern for mine. Didn't use the one on the plans. I got a pitts muffler from SouthEastRC that works great, Much quiter than the stock one. It still sticks out the side about...

Here's mine. Hope to maiden it Saturday, weather permitting. DL-55, Power HD 9150s on elevator and ailerons, Hitec 7955 on rudder. A123 2300mah pack on Rx. Weight came out to 16lbs 13oz.
