RE: Eflite P-47

SAY IT ISN'T SO E-FLITE !! :(

I was at the LHS today talking with a fellow RCU member about the new Eflite Sea Fury 400 size electric with retracts, yes retracts! We were discussing ordering...

RE: Eflite P-47

Is that price correct?!!!!! 27.95 !! Is it about the same size/weight at the ThunderPower 20c 2100 that have been costing me 75 bucks apiece? I may have just found my new battery supplier.......

RE: Eflite P-47

Landing on a gravel runway is probably always going to cause you trouble because of the wide stance the Jugs gear gives it. Larger wheels or maybe a little forward bend of the gear may help, also...

RE: Eflite P-47

Does epoxy add much weight on a foamy? That is a really good idea you got there. Wish E-Flite had put a little better mounts for the gear, and maybe included a steerable tail wheel.

RE: Eflite P-47

Cripes you've only been flying for three weeks?? Man you got skill for a newbie, heck even for some of the more veteran pilots I've seen you do really well. I had the same problem with the...

RE: Eflite P-47

You sound like you have it all under control. Good on ya! Now this is just my personal opinion, but don't bother with the gear, with your power/prop combo it will lift itself out of your hand and...

RE: Eflite P-47

Sorry you thought I use those e-flite paddle props, I too find them to flexible and in a high performance application they useless. My 10X7E props are all APC electric, not eflites, sorry again for...

RE: Eflite P-47

Logic tells you that the steeper pitch for the same diameter and therefore more RPM will get you more top end. I don't know with any degree of "I tested it and this is what I found" certainty if the...

RE: Eflite P-47

Ok I'm not sure quite what you are taking me to task on, but I was responding to a question concerning the e flite park 480 and the 10X7E prop. I don't use the E-flite props because they are slow...

RE: Eflite P-47

I have to admit that I haven't seen much of an improvement with the steeper pitch props in this particular case. I'm sure that others have, but this isn't a streamliner, the Jug was given its...

RE: Eflite P-47

Absolutely! Also I found the gear just adds a lot of drag and since it isn't steerable, I can land it closer to me by just crawling it over the grass and plopping it down near me. Ok so I'm lazy,...

RE: Eflite P-47

Really a 10X10? I'm flying a 10X7 with an Eflite 480 outrunner and 3s 2100 lipo batteries. I can hand launch myself (actually just release it and it goes by itself) and get a good 18 minutes flight...
