RE: Swallow Battery Charger.

Simmo, did you find out your answer?

Same happened to me on Hyperion balancer. It was MY fault: I forgot to set the balancer to connection mode. In other words, the way I had my balancer set up...

RE: Electrafun XP Review/Thread!

I just watched a Youtube clip of somebody flying my Electrafun sim on FMS. He ended with a note that he was about to go and buy one. [Edit: Hello Joshua, didn't notice you here.] The clip was

RE: The Australian thread

Crawf: Rotten luck, and a good looking quick rebuild. Hope things go better for you.

Clovus: That little thing is NICE! What's it called?

I managed 1.5 battery (3 flights, a break for...

RE: The Australian thread

It was nice here Wed and Thu, good Friday morning, starting to get windy Friday arvo. I missed the chances till Friday afternoon. Used my Electrafun with the shorter wing. It wasn't ideal weather...

RE: SMALL,CRASH PROOF, SLOW FLYER WANTED

What about this one?
http://www.boruvka.info/english.php?page=cadet

I once found an American manufacturer also with a EPP+Depron Cessna which looked OK.

RE: The Australian thread

It's a bit like eating insects.

To fly is nice, but I don't like the crunchy bits.

RE: The Australian thread

I bought a few pool noodles, to maybe make fuselages from, but I haven't seen sheets of the stuff. Did you mean outdoor as in camping, or as in patio furniture? Is it sold as park-bench padding or...

RE: Which plane for beginner?

I got one of those off eBay. It's not wonderfully built, but after a bit of pre-flight prepping, it flew. Only one flight so far. The centre of gravity wasn't quite right (I'm working on that) so...

RE: Red Hawk is Junk !!!

http://www.readytoflyfun.com/thawk3chrtf.html

T-hawk is here. It seems identical to the Electrafun. If so, it's a pretty good design, with cheap quality electronics.

Where's the Red Hawk?

RE: The Australian thread

Easy-out or other brand stud-remover is a good idea, but fiddly on very small stuff. They are a reverse-threaded spiral that you insert into a hold drilled into the problem bolt. Then you rotate...

RE: The Australian thread

What, there's motor racing on tonight? What time, what channel? Do I have time to fly my FMS before it starts? Since I got the eSky controller, I'm really enjoying practicing on the sim when it's...

RE: Electrafun XP Review/Thread!

Thanks Goopy.

I tried to match it to my own EFun, with the throws centered. My son's EFun is a little different, with a CG difference as well as gentle throws.

I was flying the Sim...

RE: Electrafun XP Review/Thread!

Based on the T-Hawk, with a few performance changes and a new exterior based on the Skywave, I made an FMS model for the Electrafun. Like to give it a go?

RE: The Australian thread

I forgot to mention - I've thought about raising the battery, to raise the CG, to reduce the parasol-type stability.

RE: Twin and Multi-motor, electric only

That Connie looks beautiful!

Does the OV-10 tilt? No, wait, that's not one of those tilt-rotor planes. What's the one I was thinking of?

RE: The Australian thread

I've also heard it makes it FAST - errr, well, fastER. The wing I've just modified is a good candidate for that test, as it's had more than one round of mods - it's a bit of a mess. If the extended...

RE: The Australian thread

Makes sense top me, Machette. With the tip dihedral plus the CG being way below the wing, there is a STRONG resistance to rolling. So to get even a moderate bank, suitable for turning, we need a...

RE: The Australian thread

Oops. Just yesterday I permanent-ized some control horn screws with CA. And I'd cut the screws short too, so on their tips they've lost whatever coating they had.

RE: The Australian thread

I'm looking forward to hearing how the upgrade treats your Electrafun. And for the aileron project, of course. I extended the ailerons on mine, but I still don't think they'll be effective. BUT,...

Actually, Clovus, I think I DO understand that you would be cranky about how things have turned out. You did everything you could have thought of to get it back, and it would've seemed the chances...

RE: WHERE ELSE BUT BUNDY, QUEENSLAND?????

That's OK, I can forgive you for that, as it's just human nature.

The centre strut, badly damaged, was also mounted through into the fuse. The fuse had to be opened. It opened rather well,...
