Thanks. Mine is flying great. I noticed the skin on the center section was softening in the sun so I filled the down wing area in the front with spray foam insulation. That has work very well.

Peter those are good suggestions. I have both the 72" and the 85" ESM Corsairs as well as the B-25. On all of my center sections I have used masking tape to tape over the holes on one side of the...

I do not think you will be disappointed with the new Century Jet electrics. I have been flying the Sierra pneumatic gear in my Corsair for a year and they work great. I helped with the design of the...

RE: ESM F4U Build

skillet92-

I also have my CG at 4.5" and I needed 1 click of up elevator to fly level. That was a pleasant surprise because my ESM Spitfire and B-25 needed a lot of down elevator as well as my...

Speedpro-
It seems to me that it had to be speed related because when I slowed the plane to about 1/3 throttle the flaps worked great and the plane was very stable all the way to the ground. I love...

RE: ESM F4U Build

Well I had my maiden flight this week and all in all it was rather uneventful except for the snap roll, three spins and recovery about 50 feet from the ground. Luckily I had my good friend John...

RE: ESM F4U Build

Casey-
I used a flat DuBro nylon hinge to attach the gear door to the leading edge of the wing. I then epoxied a brass tube (1/16" dia. I think), 3 3/8" inches down the door on the back side. You...

That is the one that I installed. I had to cut away the last former and put a new one in further forward to get the tailwheel to fit. Mine works great and yes it did not add a lot of...

RE: ESM F4U Build

RE: ESM F4U Build

I had the same situation with the flaps aligning with the ailerons. I had to align the wing properly before I glued it together. This required some sanding of the ribs and the "main wing joiner"....

Skillet-

I also have the Sierra gear at 18+ lbs. and the springs is my gear won't support the plane weight completely. My struts drop about 3/8" when sitting on the gear. Do you have this...
