Has anyone run an OS 160FX with a PT Carbon 18x8 prop? I gather the blades are a bit wider than the Mejlik Props?

It's not a racing class, it's a combat class. The reason I said a 9x4 is that outright speed is not the key but good acceleration and most importantly having the motor 'on song' in the turns.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Engine is used in a competition that limits size to .30 with NO tuned pipes!!!

Otherwise of course I'd have gone and got a bigger engine and shoved a pipe on it....

RevGQ, I believe its because most manufacturers prefer to see longevity and reliability out of their engines rather than outright...

Thanks guys, Weston UK do a West 25 which is a heavily reworked Webra 25. It's just a bit pricey but turns a 9x5 at 15krpm more on a pipe!!

I'll have a look into the mousse can muffler too, but...

After going up from small planes to big I've now started doing R/C Combat flying here in the UK. The rules state that the motor must be 0.30 or below and have a tuned pipe or silencer...
