RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

I've rarely heard anything negative about those components. And yes 9.5 will be plenty fast. I have a 13.5 right now, and when its geared right it will keep up with faster motors easy.

RE: Duratrax Evader DT

Looks like a fun little truck. Who cares if it isn't racing legal. Woulda been nice, but it should be fun in its own way.

RE: T4.1 Brushless RTR or SC10 Brushless RTR

They are both great trucks but like Sherv mentioned, short course trucks have pretty much replaced stadium trucks when it comes to racing. If racing then go SC10 but not in brushless (for now unless...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

Woot! I snagged a used GTB / SS 13.5 motor combo today from a local guy at the track for $60. Now I'll have to see how the good ole Durga performs with brushless power. I may upgrade to a 8.5 novak...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

Thats wierd you are having so much trouble with it. I have had mine for 2 years now and I haven't had a single issue. Now that I race it more often, things are beginning to wear out but nothing with...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

Sounds like you had the rear belt too tight. If you go with the center one-way then you won't be able to put the front one-way in too. AFAIK you will still have reverse with the center one-way, it...

RE: which one out of three?

The lunchbox and pumpkin are essentially the same thing just different bodies. Either of the three will be very durable from what I've seen. I've personally owned a blackfoot and it took a BEATING...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

Yea my track basically has a Stock Slash class, a 4X4 Mod Slash class, and a 2WD Mod Slash class. Tonight though they finally did an "everything else" class, which consisted of my Durga, a 1/16th...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

Well up until now I was running a 19t brushed motor so I didn't quite have the speed to pass them. All the slashes in 4x4 have velineon systems so they have quite a bit of power. I'm throwing in a...

RE: CrossOver Energy

Looks...interesting lol. I also like the transmission design a lot. The body and chassis are a little odd looking but for all I know they could look like that for function purposes :).

RE: what kind of power can i get from xl-5

I'm 99% sure they don't have one that fits the XL-5 specifically, but I'm sure you could rig up one from another application to work.

RE: what kind of power can i get from xl-5

To directly answer your question, the way to more power with the XL-5 is by a bigger battery and lower turn motor. It can handle a max of 8-cells nimh and 15 turns in a 540 size motor. Your current...

RE: Maxamps Out of their Mind????

I'm with ya. I'm starting to look at other forums like Oople that actually have mature individuals in it. This place has always been full of prepubescent kids since I joined almost 3 years ago.
