RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

Wanted to give you a heads up of a couple pit falls I came across while putting mine together.

1. The measurement for the axle lengths was off. Mine came out nearly too short. Just put the...

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

OK, finally had a chance to do some more research on the harrier 90. I removed the muffler and the prop and the cowling to see if there was some bad fuel tubing causing an air leak. Iā€™m using a...

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

Had the same problem last Wed night with the motor. Couldn't get it started without flipping the whole plane up-side-down to get the motor upright. Finally, it lit after about 40 minutes of messing...

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

Speaking of engine setups, I have an O.S. 91 Fx swinging a 15x4 APC prop. For nearly two years, I would fill the tank, spin the prop by hand a couple of times, then spin it with the starter and plug...

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

I thought the PVC pipe was part of the aiplane. I guess it was just the camera angle as I now see its an airplane stand.

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

Looks like you had to "Beef up" the landing gear. I like the pilot figure.[8D]

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

I had a day when the bolts on the canopy would back out, then the fly wires on the tail came loose, then the bolts came loose again, then the motor back fired and spun the nut off the prop. Had to...

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

Harrier 90 with an O.S. 91 FX with APC 15x4 prop. Hovers at about 5/8th throttle. Pulls out, not ballistic, but will recover nose up and accelerate. I had to mount the needle valve remotely to get...

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

Does it stop when you land? Seems like it would never quit. To me, this is a 60 size plane with the recommendation for a 90 to do 3D. 120 is a little aggressive, but I haven't seen the video yet. ...

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

What happened to cause the rebuild. Just wondering if it was mechanical, or flying quality of the airplane, or pilot error, etc.

Looks like it should fly great.

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

I am running an OS 91FX in mine. It will do the job. It pulls out of hover nicely and will accelerate straight up. In Waterfalls is where you can see the performace the best. It does take full...

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

According to the Manual ( http://www.horizonhobby.com/ProdInfo/Files/SEA3000_manual.pdf ) the cg should be 170-180 mm back from the leading edge.

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

I use Futaba 3004 on everything but the rudder. High torque Hobbico. Do you really feel the increase in performance with Digital Servos?

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

Northwing,

I do the same thing with my O.S. 91 FX. Just be careful you don't create too much pressure in the tank. The plug in the tank blew out once and all the fuel went into the cowl and...

RE: SEAGULL HARRIER 90...WHO'S GOT ONE?

Just flew mine today. Equipped with an O.S. 91fx and a 15x4 prop. I added no weight with the battery installed just aft of the bulkhead at the rear of the canopy and the receiver under the rear of...
