Thanks!

Man, that is a great shot of the plane. I was losing interest in modelling it, but that sure would look cool at the field!
I have limited experience with fast models, and wonder about airfoils and...

Could not find

Hey F1Race. I could find no reference to KT Aviation online.
Is there another name, or do you have any contact info?
Thanks, Keith

Hey thanks!

I'll look them up. Maybe they'd part with some plans that I can reduce. 102" is a big, fast model....

No, not the drink!!!!

Anybody ever done a scale Wild Turkey?
American Air Racing did the fullsize in the late 70's and apparently it was a killer....
Anyway, I like the looks and think a model would be FAST!

aileron servo / foam wing

Just picked up a KMP Super Chipmunk ARF.
Pretty good glass fuse, and sheeted foam wing.

It's set up for one ail servo, and I'd like to do one in each wing panel. I have never cut into a sheeted...

Bird of Time ballast

Building a BOT, and have read that Dave Thornburg did considerable testing related to correct ballasting for different conditions.
Anyone know if his findings are available in print anywhere?...

TT25

I hear what you're saying about the Q-500.
The T-6 should weigh about 2 1/2 lbs ready to fly.
Our rules require the use of the TT25GP ABC engine, and 15% fuel is provided by the host club.
Also...

Thanks

Ah, thanks, but I should have been more clear. Our local club series requires the use of a MA 9X5 prop.
Good to know that even the smaller APC props are more efficient. I've used 20" APC's on G-38's...

TT .25 for AT-6 racing

Hiya!
I'm breaking in a TT.25 for AT-6 racing, and wondered how I'm doing.
Our rules require the above mentioned engine. I'm using a 9X5 MA Scimitar prop and getting 13,500 on the bench.
Is this...

Quck question abou the planes. I'm starting a HOB kit, and plan to use a little carbon in the wing spars. Is this modification permitted?
Thanks,

Servos for T-6 racer

Our local clubs sponsor a series, and I'm building a couple of HOB kits to compete. Our rules require the use of a .25 TT bushed engine and an unmodified HOB kit, Global ARF or scratch built from HOB...

GP Ryan EP

Hiya,
I built one of these and powered with an Astro 05 FAI, 2.38-1 gearbox. Flies nice, and built out at 3lbs RTF.
Went ahead and cut new tail parts from the plans. Mine were throughly die-smashed...

I agree

Hear, hear!
Just had a great day of flying my Pitts. Sunny, with calm winds and about 40 other planes and 20 other pilots around at the field.
G-38 magneto and a regular old FM receiver. You can...

Thanks!

Thanks for the posts. I called GP, and the tech guy said to put the connections at the trailing edge, in the center of both upper and lower ails. Works good, and I flew today!!!
WOW. Lots to learn...

Aileron linkage GP Pitts

OK. Thanks anyway.
The instruction booklet makes reference to the "extensive testing done with the two aileron servo equipped version" and its' "very positive response".
So, silly old me, I...

Aileron linkage GP Pitts

Hi everyone,
Would appreciate any advise for placement of linkage between upper and lower ailerons on my new GP Pitts. Using servos in lower wing only, and totally stumped by the geometry problems....
