I checked my nacelles and they are exactly 2.25" dia. So moving to 2.5" should not be a problem. Only 1/8 will extend over the dia. from 6' away you'll never notice. Anyways it's a small price to pay...

Off the top of my head i believe you have to move the firewall back 1/8" or 1/4" to get the right spacing from thrust plate to the prop. If it was me I would mount the carb on the port side sticking...

I would say both up and down as the Herc is not equipped with spoilers on the wings.

Yah i hear ya. Just putting it out there for you guys. I'm not interested in buying this Herc. I did look at the gear set up and it does look misaligned. Probably just another frustrated builder....
