I think you bring up a good point. For Rock Crawlers, they do make sense in lowering the center of gravity. Also, un-sprung weight doesn't really matter, infact it may help in crawling applications...

I love my MMM2650 combo in my Slash 4x4 PE. Breaking axles has nothing to do with the motor, axles are just the weak point of our trucks. TeknoRC so far is the only one who's gone to using 6mm axles...

Get a MMM 2650 from Tower with the $60 savings, you'll get it for basically $200, do that and call it a day. I've been super happy with my MMM 2650 in my Slash 4x4!

Order her a 1950's Mercury body, I believe HPI or Parma make one. Then mask it off and use Pactra, Tamiya or Spazstix paint meant for Lexan/polycarbonate bodies. As mentioned, use Felt for the ears...

Yeah I've got the Slash 4x4 Platinum, so it's got the center diff. It's pretty dialed, I've done all kinds of things to it and it is basically a 1/8th scale buggy disguised as an sc truck by now lol...
