will swap a brand new never ran DLE20 for a e-flite power 160 with the prop adapter & mount.

FINALLY some WarBird pics/installs. was getting sick of hearing bout those edge/3d planes.
the DLE20 in my opinion is a God-sent for us 60size WarBird guys.

weight trumps everything. my 200hp/170ft-lbs 450lb Suzuki GSX-R will rape my 585hp/600ft-lbs 4000lb 1971 Roadrunner.

anyways, what the reason for the hate-on for MAS props?

yep. flip the throttle lever 180 degrees and drill a hole through the mount. and grind down that "hump" behind the choke lever and drill a hole through the mount.
dosn't effect the integrity at all.

the powerband would be 1700-9000 rpm. so yep it would be in there. the the thrust I calculated with a MAS 16x8 3-blade spinning @ 8000rpm was
16.62lbs@ an estimated 67mph. as far as the mount goes,...

the first 60 sized P-40 mounted with the DLE20 as far as I know. fits nice. stock muffler is a little tight.
no biggie. no cutting of the cowl, everything fits inside.

I put the master airscrew link above for the 16x8x3. its not that hard of a prop to find.
3-blade spinner is a dave brown one. not exactly scale. but close enough until
I get my Kyosho 3-blade P-40...

fits perfectly inside the cowl. NO cutting required. the DLE20 is 4ounces lighter then the Saito FS120
which Top Flite recomends. not at the point of balancing yet. you can see my build thread...

2,5hp is more then enough. and after tuning 2-stroke motocross engines for 25 years..
don't kid yourself on how much horsepower will be gained.

18x8 3-blade prop, 7000rpm and a scalelike 65mph...

ummm nope. don't need some big ugly tuned pipe sticking out of the P-40 cowl and killing the lines of it.
if I did I'd just get a "cheap scalish chinese arf". no thanks. reason for my above link it...
