RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

My buddy sent me a link to this one. I don't want to spend a ton. Just enough to keep it reliably in the air.

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

Good call. I'll probably take a while piecing it together anyway. I've already spent way more than I'd planned on this hobby.

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

My buddy's doing that 400 trex clone. I'm thinking I should go 500. One thing I don't like are the trex stock bodies. The alien look isn't one I'm fond of. I may go Solman's method though. I just...

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

Seems pretty straight forward. As for the washers, the CP Pro has 3 per side.I have those in but lost the thicker ones that go on the screw, so I guess I have less damping by accident.</p>

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

I'm an engineer, so I understand the step washers and spacing between the inner and outer races. I'm referring to the 8 other washers needed. So every time you pull the head apart you're chasing a...

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

I might start up a 450 kit then. Both of the days I flew outside were decently windy and gusty. It definately took my perspective of how powerful I thought the bird was in the warehouse and smashed...

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

Carbonfiber blades are a ***** to see. Best way to adjust your heli is to drink a lot and then try to get the balance and hover sorted in a 5'x5' area when you can't see the blade edges. Yeah heart...

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

Good link yet again. I'm going to hire you as my heli advisor. Really my mixup was silly. I knew something wasn't right, I just didn't take the time to really investigate it. The throttle hold has...

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

Der. I had the links hooked up wrong to the fly bar paddle control frame.

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

That's my guess. But my settings are verbatum of the pnp setup from Horizon. Bah. So do I decrease the percentages on the swashplate settings? Do I club it like a baby seal?

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

Alright, I looked at the kit on Horizon and they have some messed up count on there as well, so I winged it. I have a little bit of head shake on initial spool up, but it seems ok. I even went...

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

Well, good news and bad news. The good news is that the 2 in 1 was the issue with my tail rotor. plugged the new one up and tried the gyro test. The tail motor tried countering my move. So hopefully...

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

I'm not sure how windy it's been. The first time I really flew outside in an open area, it was somewhat windy. Plus I always push the limits way too far anyway (one reason I don't have a motorcycle)....

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

$80 worth of parts are on there way. I'm going to try to wait until a nice sunny day to destroy it this time.

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

Holy freaking ****. Choppers, you seem like a cool guy, but that came so far out of left field that I now dub you "Walter".

"Shut up, Donnie!"

And I'd rather never see what you probably saw....

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

I used someone else's genie. Hahaha. Im curious to figure out how to do it myself though. One less thing to bite me. I have all three servos level, but I had to adjust the rod on one to get the swash...

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

Good link! My stick now makes things go in the right direction. Now if only I could actually fly the damn thing.... Guess it's time to figure out what settings to use to get the mSR handling a little...

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

Poor choice of words. I meant pitch rather than yaw. Knowing that the setting isn't in the switches will help me prod around. My servos are also buzzing when the throttle switch is in the upper most...

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

I haven't even made it that far. I'm still just trying to get servos correct. With the reversing settings I got off here, everything seem right but forward and backward yaw. If I pull the stick left,...

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

It's the second paddle control frame on there and I have another in que. This one didn't break, just tossed off the paddle control frame pushrods. The flybar has been slightly bent a couple of times...

RE: DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

After coming out of the fetal position, here's the list visual inspection gave.

Main shaft and drive gear. It took some teeth on the the initial impact with the dresser.

Center hub and spindle...

DX6i with a CP Pro2 = destruction

I have a post in the beginner section on my issue, but it was suggested I post in here. I need a quick list of settings to start with on a DX6i with a CP Pro2. I followed another post on which...
