BEC Question / ESC question

I opted to add a castle BEC to my plane. I now see the ESC says if you do this to remove the center wire from the throttle. What problems could arise if the center wire is not removed?

"CHECKING FOR A BAD CELL

There are a variety of ways.  Many chargers will actually display the voltage of the individual cells.  My Cellpro 4S shows me the voltage of the cells....

I saw a plane for sale locally that has a JR 2.4 RX. I have a Spectrum dx7. Will be able to bind them or will I need to replace the RX? Thanks for any help.
