RE: OS Max 91fx Shutting off above 3/4 throttle, HELP!

Have you tried a different jug of fuel or borrowed some from a buddy? I didn't see where you tried that and it fixed my friends engine with a similar problem a week ago. His fuel had gone bad. Also...

RE: Question about Radio Interference

At our club field, we had interference from construction cranes during the building of a large hotel 2-3 miles away except on sundays. Also read that some pipeline (gas/oil) valves are remotely...

RE: Debonding Epoxy

I have what looks like a soldering iron with a #11 exacto blade on it that I picked up at the local hobby shop to cut through epoxy.

RE: engine question

Use a star or crossing pattern when you tighten the head bolts doing it just snug the first time around. Then do the final tightening of the bolts the same way.

RE: New Magnum .46 XLS leaking around head?

Check for loose head bolts. Retorque in a star/cross pattern. If the cyl head is wet on the front mostly and your still running a pretty rich needle setting, it could just be excess fuel spraying...

RE: HELP with Magnum XL 46

If you figure out if it is the carb or tuning, the old OS 4D carb works on the Magnum 46 and 52 size two strokes if you need the carb.

RE: Satio Question

When I had my u-can-do, I looped my carb fuel tubing up and over the engine mount beam then to the carb. The loop is near the top of the fuel level and stopped the siphoning.

RE: prop choice

I have had good performance with the apc 12x4 prop on my 50sx's. If you try a 13x4, I would try the thin blade as the 13x4 wide blade was better on my 61.

Check that you carb is fully seated on the case after loosening the screws and retighten. Also check your fuel lines in and outside the fuel tank for pin holes. Those items can cause it to lean out....

RE: OS fs 70 Surpass

You might try heating the engine with a heat gun or in an oven for a 5-10 minutes then try turning it over. Compression on a 4 stroke can be low due to carb position and/or the ring stuck in the...

RE: OS .91FX

Hemikiller is correct. Just replace the ring and break in as a new engine. My 91FX was as good as "new" after installing the ring.

RE: OS .75 AX vs. OS .61 SF ABC

The 61SF muffler is too restrictive for the 91FX to perform at its best. The 91FX muffler has the extension in the middle for the increased exhaust volume.

RE: Propeller Fit on O.S. .61FX Crankshaft

To mount the four stroke you can put the mount bolt in from the bottom and put a lock nut on it under the needle valve. On the prop, just ream out the back a little with your next step of the prop...

RE: Saito 91

If you didn't damage the plane, your clunk tubing could have folded over to the front in the tank causing this problem.

RE: SAITO 100 PROBLEM

What glow plug are you using? It normally would be the plug or bad fuel. I use OS-F plugs in my Saito's. You might borrow a tank of fuel from another flyer to check it out.

RE: asp piston on OS 46FX ???!!!!!

Check with "justengines". The "short engine" parts for OS spares sound just like your idea.

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

With the TT46 try the 11x5 ,12x4, and 12.25x3.75 props to see which works best for you on the Twist. I have the 12x4 apc on my Twist 40.
