Wires go to the bottom of the fuselage. They come out of the fairing, which goes through the thrust tube.

I don't know if the owner drilled the spars, but I don't think so. It would be of little consequence, anyways, because he said the spar snapped clean off the fuselage as if cut with a knife.

On another forum, a member claims one of his wing spars just snapped at the wing root during a lift off. I don't doubt he destroyed his airplane because the wing spar broke, but I do not understand...
