I got two of the pro race alloy tb2 and i love it.. its a little heavy with all the alloy everywhere and zmc chassis. But thats okay :D
The electro tb2 i think must be good. Just put cvd's on all...

Not 100% sure about the hpi pack.. But i have a 4500mah ansmann pack in my tb2,
I have dual 5755 steering servos, 5755 throttle servo, hpi headligths, voltwatch and kill switch.

On that setup...

The doors are kept shut with a rubberband i made from a old bike hose..
Its tied on the rigth door and it has a little hook for the left door.

That way i can easily open them...

I would have to say that the baja is a pile in any direction but straight forward.. preferably in a desert.. my nutech handles better on a track but cant compete in a drag race..

I was thinking of making a rear fender "baja engine cage" style, but in a separate piece screwed to the chassis.
And a bullbar kinda fender in the front. Also srewed to the chassis..

One more thing.
I built mine in sections.
Front section
Center section
And rear section..

That way you dont need long tubes with intricate bends allaround.
The most tricky bend on...

I don't know what wheel hex type Fs uses. But proline trencher on splitsix rims could maybe be an option?
They got decent grip on most surfaces, they use beadlock rims and they are pretty durable...

I probably will put alu panels on it at some point.. I usually do that to my rc cars, I like alu panels.. as you can see here

Actually thats not a bad idea. I was thinking, I have to cut holes in the hood of the beetle body for the tower to stick out,
so some sort of brace will look good:)

That shock tower is actually already broken, but there are a 7mm thick one almost done just sitting on my work bench :)

And if you look at the bar going down the middle there, you might notice...

It's a rollcage made from seamless high pressure hydraulic pipe..
Made to fit inside a fiberglass beetle body from nutechracing.nl...
