Asked Mike Conner to run a Doppler on the Vid of the 18 and 16 ..this is what he came up with.

"The F-18 was just over 100 mph at the 20 second mark and the F-16 was just over 90 at the 1:20...

Hmmm can't seem to do a reply ... But here is the good news ..... TA DA ...F-18 Flies and I have a video to prove it as well ... as you can see I had the F-16 out at the same time and have a video of...

Yeah the cockpit looks rather bare [:o] ... if the test flights come out ok ..which they will ... then maybe this fall I will put one in ....a long with other mods that may come up.

LOL :D The members ask me the same thing .... But when you have a friend test pilot that is 6"5" and 220 and he tells you the HE wants to do the test flight and is going to travel 450 miles to do it...

Well I made it to the field for some engine runs and ground tracking ....looks good for the test flights next weekend.

I checked the road and field out and whooo hoooo snow is ALL gone she is ready to go ... looks like the test flights will start on the May 16th long weekend ...need to get the rust off flying this...

Break-in is done on the OS 55AX .... well for now .. I had time today to run two 16oz tanks as Per the manual. I used a 10x6 APC prop and the Stock muffler... I now have the Jett muffler and a 11x7...

Working on the Fleet ... have to cycle all the batteries and have the 55 out of the F-18 and in the test stand for the break in run.... maybe this weekend.

Drum roll ............. 8.3 Lbs all in except fuel not bad at all .... The F-16 with the last mods I made on it is the same weight... 8.3 Lbs. [X(] go figure that!!! ...Hmmmmm No I tested the scale...

Working on the c/g ... I have 2 oz inside each cone and 1/2 oz on top each with a movable 1/4 oz to get it to level ...sooo looks like 5 1/4" oz to balance ..not bad at all .. would have been less...

Lateral balance done .. 1 ounce to get it level ..which is about right .... seems to take from 3/4 to 1 oz on most... more work to do before I can do the c/g and total weight.

Well I have the rim around the canopy painted ..but I am having a heck of a time finding a pilot head .....even went to the dollar store.

I am now making some inside rims for the tail cones that...
