McMaster-Carr has those y's as well as lots of stuff we can use in model boats. :)

Actually, the EVX speedo is rated for two 550 motors or a single 775.

Do you have an ESC yet? If not, look at the Traxxas EVX-2. It is waterproof, runs dual 550 motors or a single 775. They can be found on eBay for cheap because lots of sellers buy new Traxxas vehicles...

The Traxxas Titan 775 motor is used in the "Summit" vehicle. It is a Mabuchi motor:

I was just looking at photos of a Fun Fly my local club had on July 8th. I was sick that weekend with bronchitis so I did not go to the field to check it out. They always have a 'swap shop' there too...

Brushed motors will be fine with LiPo but it does "depend".

The issue is the current delivery from a LiPo. A typical NiCd or NiMh battery has a fair voltage and current drop under load. A LiPo...

Well the first thing I did was strip all of the un-needed electrical wiring, switches, and servos for the rescue boat gizmo.

Lots of stuff is broken and/or missing such as railings, the deck...
