RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

Hey Brownj,

I think you would really want to get 72 degrees of gear travel if they are going to custom make them for you. i believe this is the correct travel required to angle right.

As...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

Hey Taildragger21,

Lenny at shindin has almost finished a "drop-in" set of air reatracs for this model and they should have a 9" long strut, because that's the length i've ask him for too;) here...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

I used HS-85mg servos for each aileron and flap, and then hitec 425's for everything but throttle. a hs-81 is perfect for that job.

thanks

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

Hey Wufnu,

You will get many opinions with this topic, some people say throw it all away and use "American" hardware.

Now, I don't know what "American" hardware is or why it's so good,...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

I have the foam core wing in mine, and the way i strenghten the retract mounts was to get some 1/4" dowl, and the i marked where the holes for the mechanical retracts would go on the bearers. I...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

Sturz is right,

I did my maiden on 3/16th music wire cos i could wait to get the right legs on, and she just wallowed around on the gear.

Actucally, on the first landing which was a geaser...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

Hey Guy's

Without seeing them, i would go for the 1/6 scale one seeing as this Fw-190 is 1/6 scale! The real pilots looked kinda small in the Fw's office

Thanks

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

Hey, just out of interest, what gasser engines have people used on their Fw-190?

Has anyone run a 40cc gasser in one?

Thanks

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

Thanks thebluemax,

The spinner comes really nicely polished from Skyshark, so i rough up the surface with some scotchbrite. I then had it sprayed white (painters at work do a great job and it's...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

Here are some pic's of the Skyshark D9 spinner on my CMPro Fw-190, the shape is not exactly 100% for the A series of the Fw-190, but the kit is also a fair way off too as discussed earlier in this...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

Hey Guy's

I have started the assembly of the Fw-190. I reduced the dihedral angle slightly to make it a little mroe scale.

I have parked it next to my Top Flite 1/7 P-51B that i am building...

RE: nitroplanes.com FW 190 Build

I have just also ordered the spinner from skyshark. Could take a while to get out here but that should give me some time to get the model together.
