RE: Expo for precision flying?

I don't like too much expo for precision flight either. I tend to use 15-25 on all flight controls, and only use IMAC and 3D flight modes.

I setup the ailerons for the correct roll rate at the...

RE: Dual RX Battery & Switch

Yep, same applies with a 4 cell pack.

If you think about 'detecting' a short with a meter before flying, what will the meter show if a cell is shorted?

A shorted cell is the same as simply...

RE: Dual RX Battery & Switch

It seems to me that the 2 batteries plugged into 2 rx ports should be fine even if a cell shorts. If we say you are using 5 cell packs, then a 5 cell pack with a shorted cell will appear as a 4 cell...

RE: Which servos center really well?

Most small digital servos would give you the accuracy you're looking for. I'm not familiar with Futaba servos, but I have used the JR DS9411s and JR DS3421s they are both very accurate and powerful....

RE: cyclone build

Hi Chris, looking good. Just remember... every gram counts :-). Now if I can just get my next one up to that stage I'd be right. Hope you guys are going well.

RE: OS FI experiences

Well, I have run one for several flying sessions and it was going well by the end!

Initial start-up on the bench was good, but as usual it was a different beast once in the air. You really need...

RE: Is There a Future PCM10X?

The ability to use the dual rate switches for something other than dual rates would be good. Also, allowing a switch to be assigned to the timer. And some more free mixers or allowing channel...

RE: Header tank?? Good?? Bad?? should I, and how to do it

We tried putting the tank on the CG and using a header tank on a Pilot/EZ Seduction. This was with a non-pumped OS 70 and it did not work well at all. The header tank just adds greater restriction....

RE: Plans from the very last part of the .60 2-stroke period

Hey Erik,

What about a Conquest 4? We had one that was modernised using an OS 90 4 stroke and fixed gear. I've still got the plan... but like most of the designs from that period? it has a...

RE: YS 1.10 rebuild

Hi Steve,

I've replaced the regulator seals on our 140L and just recently 140DZ. These seem to make the most difference. I just ordeered the standard YS diaphragms and regulator gaskets for each...

DS-9411 Unavailable?

Hi Danny,

I have been in discussions with the Australian JR distributor over the last week regarding unavailability of the DS-9411.

They claim that Horizon / JR will not supply them with...

RE: Fliton Infinity90 Build

Hi Ron,

Glad to here that the plane went well. Are you still using the Saito, or did you go the YS route? We aren't really interested in replacing the OS 91 pump, since it runs well. I don't...

RE: os70 prop size?

I've gotta agree with the APC 13*7. It looks really narrow compared to the normal pattern props, but seems to work well. I think the 12*6 would be abit small, so maybe go even bigger if you want to...

RE: Wheel pants

I would have to agree - mainly for looks. But how much better does the plane look with them!

They make the undercarriage look like a part of the plane, not just tacked on as an after thought. We...

RE: Fliton Infinity90 Build

Hi Ron,

Wow - at 6lb 4oz it should be great! This seems far lighter than any other 90 size plane around - perhaps it's a little smaller than the others? I see this as an advantage, since you...

RE: Fliton Infinity90 Build

RE: Glow Plug Setup for starting

I use a home made one, just a 3Ah NiCd in series with an ammeter to the glow plug. The latest one uses 2 completely separate 1.2v cells, with a 3 position switch to select which cell to use. ie. Batt...

RE: New Cyclone 2m - first flight

Steve,

Looks great!

I've also found that they need very little trimming. Great to see some more NSW guys getting involved - hope to see you at some comps soon.

RE: Matt Fritz.. Suxess Foamy Biplane pictures

Hey Ned,

Really like the plane. Any chance of sending over a set of plans?

I've been thinking of getting a foamy for a while - and this looks great!

Hi Buzz,

Nice work. I've seen Rob's fly, and it looked really good - looks like we'll have to watch out for you in the comp scene from now on... ;)
