It's already been done but not for public purposes. I know that what we are using for timing points in the hobby could be a lot better, especially if it was mapped to rpm. Been there, done that. ...

Funny that people look to adding something to an engine to obtain more power or reliability. There's not an engine out there at the moment using model type CDI ignitions that would not gain in boith...

How much more would you be willing to pay for engines that had them? We cry about the cost of a simple exhaust diverter, known as a muffler, as it is.
