Information about my 1/4th scale F1 tunnel
Hi,
I'm looking for information about this F1 tunnel hull. The is a decal ON it, witch says Dumas boats, but I can't find any information on their site. So i guess it's just a decal.
The hull is made from fiberglass, verry thick, reinforced with aluminium inserts..
Hull length is 125cm, 160cm with engine.. (K&B 0.82cu/13cc Nitro)
Needs mechanical work, steering, throttle. I will get there, bought it as an non runner with work.
Steering is working fine now, waiting on parts from K&B..
Also, i would like to know, what's the use of the small in front of the nitro tank in the boat..
I thank you all, any information is welcome!

It's not a Dumas, that's for sure but I don't know who made it.
You've got the main tank, the larger one of course and the smaller one is a hopper tank to help ensure that you keep a positive fuel feed especially if or when the main tank goes dry or gets air when the fuel supply runs low.
The tuned pipe is kind of a rarity also as the .21 pipe was originally made from a mousse can. It could have been the Magic Muffler. I don't know if there was a HP or RPM gain from it but it sure is quieter than the stock exhaust.

Hi Ron,
Thx for the information.
Must say, it WAS an inboard hull, now converted to outboard. Hull is very well made, but no type tag or name in it.
Don't know what the muffler is, 'Magic Muffler' is a brand or type of muffler? Never heard from it. I know they are loud, originaly.
Never seen an mousse can as an muffler..

So the fuel goes in the large tank, trough the small tank and then carburetor.

Magic Muffler I believe was a brand. I don't know what they used on the larger engines as it appears to be made from something else. I don't know if I have a shot from my old .21 OB.
I don't know if a remote needle is a must. If so you still have to mount it as close as possible to the carb. It appears to already have a needle on it.
