What size? What power? Used for racing? Kit built? Plans built? ARR? Some more info will be needed to give the best answer.

TS2, B&M Leecraft, Lynx, HTB260(stock) HTB290(mod), Bandit Killer, if you can build - go WOF (28", 29" or 30" ) if you can find them - Villian (stock) or Nemisis (mod)....

Where did you fnd the Villain, was it used or new as a kit? Ive been looking for a new hull as well, probably either a Bandit or a Lee Craft.

it is a good deal but if your willing to spend 2x's as much the lee craft is a fast boat not so in the wind, is the villian good in rough water

I'm so confused by the fact that no one has said AquaCraft VS1. Makes me feel like I'm missing some details in this thread or something.

I'm pretty sure the Aquacraft VS 1 is a close copy of Mike Z's original Villain S1, hence the name...VS1.

Mike's original boat was the Villain S-1 back when he had his own business, Grim Racer/Power Surge Products and had to discontinue it one he went to work for Aquacraft. The boat ran so well it's no wonder that Aquacraft decided to bring it back out.
There are some changes that had to be done as Mike used a Dumas cowl for his kits. What it looks like he kit does need though are the winglets that Mike had.
Keep in mind that the Villain/VS-1 was made for stock motors not modded ones. Mike made the Nemesis for those.
