Well, if you're happy with 15 mph then it's a great boat. Not really much you can do to make it any faster. Good entry level fun boat.

RE: KYOSHO JET STREAM GP 10
I've got a Jetstream 800. It's about 13 years old. Last year I stripped out the old 500 motor and gear box, went with a Direct drive 750 and motor mount from Offshoreelectrics and got about 25 out of it with 12 cells and a new ECS from Victory. Both motor and ECS were water cooled I also added new spin fins to keep it straight and no spin out in the curves. Been looking at this hull for about three weeks now and think I'm converting it to Nitro. Lots of room to work and feel with support ribbing and some new fibergrass lining this might be a perfect conversion. The boat has good clean lines. Oh BTW get rid of the streerable rudder, the U joints really can't take much punishment from more power, went through one after a couple of runs and there about $25.00 (I think thats what I paid) I'm going to cut out the old shaft and re-do the strut housing and go out through the transom to a good hardward set-up with flex shaft. One thing I do know, it will run allot longer on nitro than 12 cells, only get about 4 minute runtime and then charge for 30 minutes, while I watch the rest of the guys run Gas and nitro all day long. Hey if the price is right, have a ball with it.

RE: KYOSHO JET STREAM GP 10
your getting there.. get some 3/16 brass tubing, you can make a adapter for the prop to install a 3/16 prop. your gonna need a bigger one, like a x440 i am gonna try the stock prop then install the x440 and see the diff..get some dupli color paint and paint the inner hull its nitro prof.i did mine with white..also get maybe a 6 oz airplane tank the bigger moror will eat fuel. i installed mine infront of the motor,,look for a header off of a niteo 4 tec, and use a differ muffler,, look on e-bay you can get them cheep// the pic thats in a few post back was a t-max fuel tank,, that was to little as well. also make sure you glass the mounts you made,, i epoxy them, wasent strone the one on the same side as the pill start came loose.. so i glassed it with some fiberglass strips and resen.. to me half the fun is working on there and figuring thinks out//http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/MainPage.htm.. thats where i got the idea to do the adapter for the prop, many tips there..awsome place,,one thing to think about tho you may want a marine motor iam useing a aquacraft 15 from a hammer.. you also can get them cheep on e-bay.. keep us posted on how its going...

RE: KYOSHO JET STREAM GP 10
alright, im gonna hold off on the glassing and such. theres alot of epoxy on there i think i'll be fine. any links to a more variety of props i can use? i am gonna use the 3/16" brass rod mod. i just have to find the rod first. i've had no luck at all finding 4mm inside diameter props. so im being force dto do the 3/16" rod, which is fine
here are pics of my radio tray, almost finished. need to mount it and mount my receiver also.
