Default Ultra sport 40

All you old time ultra sport fans. Is there any difference between the ultra sports in the older red white and blue box with the white aircraft flying away, and the newer blue box with the aircraft coming toward you in the picture. Neither are the new 40 plus kit boxes. Looking at buying one, but want to make sure they are the same thing.

Default RE: Ultra sport 40

They are definately the same airplane, just the one has a newer redesigned box. My brother bought one from tower in about 1995...and i purchased one on ebay in 2001 which had newspaper from 89 in it...and different box but identical kits. go ahead and get it! you wont be disappointed. I just finished building mine a few weeks ago, and man, what a plane. Have a os.s .46AX engine w/ 11x7 prop currently, and she's pushing 100 mph..i think. that's what all my flying buddies are estimating the speed of that great airplane at. plus it's very maneuverable. but you probably already know this. but yeah, same plane.
