Default In-cowl Muffler for ST90

I have a SuperTigre .75 in my TF P-47 (60 size, @ 11.75lbs http://www.rcuniverse.com/gallery/index.pl?photo=351) now. The plane flies well but is under powered with the .75. So I want put in a ST .90 for more power, but the TF in-cowl muffler will not work with the 90 size engine. Any advice on how to solve this problem?? are there any modifactions that I can make to the TF Muffler?

Thanks
Andy

Andy,
Wow! Is she glassed and painted by any chance? There is not an incowl i know of off hand that would be a direct fit/replacement to put your ST90 into that plane, no. You might consider going to a more powerful powerplant still within the model's power range. I would consider, esp if hte model is taking nose weight, a high weight high power engine like a YS120 pumper.

Yes she is glassed and painted . She weighted 10.5lbs before I had to add 15oz of nose weight.

How about the RCV120-SP with a four bladed (15.5x12 @ 5500) prop? This way I will not have to hack up the cowl....

hI ANDY! Not familar with the RCV so i really can't say. The 4 blade will decrease your performance dramatically, but if the engine brings you enough power, you then dont have to worry about aircraft damage from the engine.
