Dave:

There are better chargers, but you're running par for the course. Don't know the max charge rate of your set-up--I charge at 2100 Ma for an Hour.

You're doing fine, i was getting about 7 1/2 minutes of 3 day flying.

Just make sure you arent pulling the pack down too low, better to land early than to puff up a LiPo.

It looks to me that you aren't balance charging your battery; you have an adaptor clipped to your Deans. I think you need some kind of adaptor for the little plug. The extreme method would just be to buy a charger that takes that little TP plug.

10 minutes is a respectable flight time for a trex. To charge my TP 2100 batteries I use Thunder Power's 1010 super charger with TP 210 balancer. With my setup, it only takes 20 minutes to safely charge a TP 2100 pro lite. This is because you can charge the battery at 3C.

I bought mine at my LHS. Try www.helihobby.com To charge your prolite packs at the 3C rate you must have the balancer. If you do not get the balacer, you can only charge at 1C. This setup is quite expensive ($250-$300) but the way I see it, it will be the last charger that I will need to buy.

I have been using the RCC-4x charger for at least 2 months now, which is next step up from that one. It is only capable of charging at 1 amp max, so it will take somewhere between 2-3 hours to charge that 2100Mah pack. I use it to charge the cheapo battery I got with Trex kit and also 2 different Apex 2100MAh 15c batteries, one of which fits right in, the other of which I had to buy adapter to go to TP plug for, which fits into charger now that I clipped off the locking tab. I also get 10 minutes of hover with those packs.

I'm using the Hobbico Quick field Charger Mk11 Pro Series to charge my (3) TP 2100 3s packs and It takes on average 1 hour to charge them. My charger will bring them to about 12.28 V when it kicks off. Is this the proper peak voltage to bring the battery to? I can safely get about 6-7 min. of flight time till they wear down to about 11.0 or 10.8 V before I set my heli down. Im real paranoid about damaging them since they cost $$$ boo-koo dolares!!! My packs get a little warm after use, and I'm pretty sure that this is normal as long as they don't get hot. I just bought the TP li-poly balancer and use it every time I fly to check that the cells are staying balanced. I always wait about 30 to 45 min before I attempt to recharge. I probably charge each of my packs 2x's every other day. I FLY A LOT!!!! It's ridiculous. Anyone have input as to how 'Proper' my standard procedure is? I am all about experienced criticism.
One other thing...how long should a pack last if properly cared for?

call me retarded but i got my TP 1010 in the mail today and the balancer is on the way, I didn't realize I need an extral power sorce to run the damn thing. is there anything else I should know as far as connectors, power supplies any thing like that? I hope the connector that I have on my TP lipos will at least fit into the balancer.
