Default motor and esc work with 4 cell lipo

Will a 4 cell lipo work with the stock motor and ESC with out burning up either of them. I need to know because my old batteries are junk and I will be ordering a couple of flight power 14.8 volt 2500mah 25c batteries for my TREX and those batteries will also work in one of my planes.

The align 35x esc will work on 4 cell lipo... you will have to run a smaller pinion though than if you ran a 3 cell... don't overgear it!! And you will have to use an external BEC....

The batteries you want to use however are too heavy! When going from 3cell to 4cell there is greater efficiency in the power output... run a 4s that weighs the same as a 3s 2200mah...about 180g. You will get more power and longer flight time even though you may only be running a 4s 1600mah...

Thanks for the info I thought that a 4 cell would be ok but wasn't sure. Are you sure about the weight? The battery I was running was 185g and the one I am switching to will be 265g but I thought that would be fine. Does anyone else know or have they used a Flight Power 4cell 2500mah battery?
