H9 Extra 260 vs. QQ Yak 54 Help MIKE!!
I seen you post in my last question. I have heard that the extra is too heavy with a da-50 or any gas motor. I know you fly it but lets be serious you can probably fly a log wagon and make it 3D. I could be wrong. I have a Lanier Edge 540T with a Brison 2.4 (40cc). It fly great and floats in but it is just too heavy IMO. I have a Funtana 40, U-Can-Do 60 and E-Flight Yak. I love all my plane except for my lanier edge. I want to get a 50cc plane. I am dead set on a DA-50. I just love the motor. I love the price of the 260 and the QQ yak is expensive (IMO). I don't think the Hitec 635-HB will be enugh for either planes what servos do you recommend. Thank you for your time and for helping me. I am from Casey IL. about 40 min from Champagine. I will be at the big event this sat at U of I.

The 260 isnt too heavy for a light weight gas engine, such as the DA50 or the Evolution45. It will 3D pretty well with the DA, which puts it about 15lbs, but it isnt a light floaty feeling 3D model with that engine. If all 3D is your thing, a slaigtly large airplane may be a better way to go. I havent flown QQ's 85" Yak, but if its anything like his 102", and I'd guess it is, then it will be excellent.
In my 260, I use JR 9411 on ailerons and elev, and an 8411 on rudder.

If I was going to spend the money on the QQ Yak. I would just as well buy the H9 Edge 33% 540. It is only 100.00 more. I would just spend some of my tax return to buy a DA-100. What do you think about this Idea. I have never flown anything bigger than a 40cc. I think I would love that plane. I have heard that it is a great flyer. What is you thoughts about going to the 33%.
