old raft guide

I have a MTT Fusion large helicopter, it is great fun but now the electrics are toast. I would like to convert it to a 2.4 GHZ system, would it be possible to buy a receiver, ESC and maybe a gyro to accomplish this. I already have a 6 channel radio. It is a coax rotor, and there for has two motors, it uses 7.4 v lipos and I have several on hand. Mechanically the heli is in great shape, no bent or broken parts and I'm pretty sure the motors are OK. Is there any thing else I need or should consider? I'm an old car guy first so this makes sense to me. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
